Here is my first malava army (pulled him in my first 2 sorcery boosters):

-Malava 76 + Kosian Shieldtome 37
-2 x Khamsin Trooper** 18

-Regal Skymage** 58

-Solonavi Shade*** 37

-Dark Archer* 15

300pts

Malava gets +2 defense and she and the two khamsin troopers can't be attaccked by ranged attacks thanks to the kosian shieldtome.
The Regal Skymage can help this formation when they need, by using his charge.
The Solonavi Shade is a harasser and picks up some good special abilities.
The Dark Archer is because I hadn't another choice.

wow thats a great pull! I like the malava/sheildtome combo, but I question the khamsin troopers... if you took them and the dark archer out you have 51 points left to put a stable ranged attacker or some faster harassment in, but thats just my $.02

by the way, I don't want to preassure you or anything, but would you like to put this in the clan barracks so we have more than 2 peoples armies in there? :D .

It's better if you'll add another Unique higher points than Malava, put Scroll of Invocation on that unique, then send Malava to town to piss other figs off.

In a 400pts, perhaps.

As an Orc player, I like Khan Rava w/ SoI & Malava, that's 172 pts, still got 128 pts left for support in a 300 pts game. :D

I don't have to many tournament legal figs (a 100 or so), but I'll see if I can put in for about 51 points

If you have Magespawns in your army, it's really better if you have a fig w/ summon. This will really help...:D

I want you to summon Malava back, not Malava summoning other magespawns...:D

Why not summon magespawn? She/It could summon back a fairly "big" one. Dragon's gate has some nice ones.

She/it could summon magespawns, but if she is the only magespawn in your army, then you need to summon her/it back. That's what I meant...:D

I think a summon "chain" might be best, example:

Rava 91
scroll 5 (summon)

Malava 78 (summon)

scale magus 38/blood cultist 33 (summon)

feasting raptor 26 (the "weakest" link)

OR just rava with the scroll and mal with some support, that way your army isn't focused around one ability, maybe throw some harassment in there to cover your big ranged guns. But then again this is no help to Lunar if he doesn't have rava, so the point is moot.
