Well, the original Tormented Souls were magespawn. That was KEY. Mistral is Elven Lords. Mistral has less defense, and tormented souls weren't unique...

IMHO mistral would be a lot better if only he was 4 more points, slap spirit armor on him and no one would touch him ever.EVER.

Mistral can already wield Spirit Armor. Relics that have a factional requirement, such as Spirit Armor, are an exception to the "point-cost" rule for figs to wield relic. Any figure that meets the factional requirement for a Relic can wield it assuming all other requirements are met (slotted base, attack type, defense type, etc.)

Exactly. I wouldn't go so far as saying that's the only way to play him, but I think 19 out of 20 times, that's how he would be played.

Put that combination in an army with Tythania Stormbringer and you have a figure with 16" range, flying and 6 ranged damage! Eventually she gains 26" striking range (more if she has an item that increases her speed). I've seen that used a lot recently.
