For your familiar, if Magus is using implant channel, than use something like Golem Familiar**. The familiar is mainly used as a harasser, and to capture objective tokens after Magus blasts the figures that were previously controlling off the face of the Earth.

And because creatures with Magic Immunity will screw the Magus, I added in a warrior, Throne Monk. For 87 points I think he fits the job quite nicely. Throne Monk will cary Blackstone Plate to give him a bonus to attack and defense, and give him a good chance to dodge against magic attacks.

I was wondering if there is some sort of cheap MK2 harasser to fill in the 24 points. Wouldn't want to let that go to waste :-)

So you're looking at something like three or four figures only?

My opinion is that you have no healing, so if somebody else gets first strike, you might have problems.

Second, you have to go into the game with a specific combination of spells. You can't just change the spells in the book because you see them not using "ranged baddies".

Offhand, I would have preferred a spell like arc lightning and lightning palm on alment lan, and maybe add some healing spells as well. I don't like the idea that Alment Lan's spells are support spells only, except MAYBE implant channel, if you do go with that option.

You might also want to swap throne monk for two beatsticks, maybe even three of them (say a tough ubkhan and two weak blood demons).

And make sure you have your familiar in the build so you can project the point totals properly.

Yeah, and maybe you should start posting in the first person point of view, because it is not "my" army, it's yours. (no offense intended) I notice you keep saying "Your familiar".
