my best army is
(out of the guyes i have)
1 high elven archer lv2
1 high elven warrior lv2
1 kierin starsdawn
1 snow maden lv2
1 rock griffen lv3
1 Lady skeri
i play alot of unique only battles, so heres a 700 pinter:
tythannia stormbringer
-bol
redgear bowblade
-karrudan's bow
vorgoth
-wylden shield
-cloak of vipers
-bracers of the giants
varatrix
-souldrinker
-potion of vitality
The idea is to place the two shyfts close to the starting army, but a little more forward and centrally positioned. And the double time the grimlins and the shades in close combat with the dangerous figs of the opponent. While my opponent tries to get rid of these harassers (very difficult, they get summoned every time), the the hatchetkruggs, hazna bez and the crypt wurm come closer. They can all take the attack value of the shyfts, so they are a lot more dangerous then they look...
It is not probably my best army, but I had a lot of fun with it. And face it: has anybody put a crypt wurm in an army ? :p
those are wicked guyes:sword:  :wand: :defense:
i put my archers in the back when i move my guyes forward so that they can move in formation and attack together
Hmm, your archers are defenseless since they are based with my grimlin and shades (remember, they DT at 24 speed, in other words, they can base everybody on the field...)
Oops:confused: Well he COULD Do without it. Sorry about that. I try and remeber these things, but I tend NOT to. In a tournament I wouldn't try doing something like this.:p Which is a good thing. Say Dragon, what's a really good spell to use on Vextha (I have 10 dollars that's burning a hole in my pocket).
Drakor+Star Sheild+(guess)Magestone Bracers.
Grathkar+PRinciples of Technomancy (Wolf's Kin, Cobra's Bite, Fleet of Foot).
This is a nice set up. Drakor gains parry, Spell Resistance and +2 to his defense. He doesn't really need to worry about healing if I cast Wolf's Kin on him, and he can ####erattack those who don't make it past his 20 Def. With the Sheild AND Cobra's Bite cast on him he gains (triple?) venom. However, I would only really try and use this army vs. Solonavi ones.
Drakor+Galeshi Sunsword+Magetone Bracers
***Revered Mystic w/Principles of Technomancy (Wolf's Kin, Cobra's Bite, Fleet of Foot)
Scalesworn Militia
This is a combination of my Vextha
strategy and the one above and is probably what I would use in a 300 pt. battle, as Drakor has 15 attack with (double?) venom, counterattack, regen, quickness and terrify when all the spells are cast on him. Keep him up at soaring level and it's a winner.
This army is pretty dang effective. Even in 2.0 people don't really try and get near the golems and ESPECIALLY Chromazar. All I have to do is park them on that middle token and, well, you get the picture.
Magus Tivon
**Technocat (the one with stealth and Arcing Fire)
Blade Golem
Seeker Elydia
Grave Robber
***Altem Gaurdsmen
I came up with this army when at a tournament I was required to build a faction-pure Atlantean army. Needless to say I was quite suprised how effective it was. For a 400 pt. version, I threw in Dragon's Breath and it was even more effective. I could also use Silvercloud instead of Dragon's Breath. Basically I just kept MBing everywhere and blasting people to bits. When Tivon had finished his work on a target, in stepped the Blade Golem and Gaurdsman to make the kill. I won 3/4 battles I played.
***Soulshredder(x2)
Oracle Kastali
Ravelysia w/Principles of Technomancy (Wolf's Kin, Cobra's Bite, Fleet of Foot).
I know that spell sombo is getting old but hey? It works! Yep. This is my big Mindtap army. Enough said.
Goldeneye, all your armies are built around one big beefed up creature. Although this tactic can be quite succesfull, it is also very dangerous. First, your biggie can get very crippled if your opponent uses the right domain, but far more risk is that you won't hold 2 objectives. Remember, winning is taking the most objectives !! Since you only have one guy, I would just stay out of range and in the last turn, take the other objectives then the one you are holding... This brings me to my point that a VERY IMPORTANT parameter that is always forgotten, is speed. Not attack of defense value...
