Apparently Horrorclix is 80% compatible with Heroclix, so I doubt it will be far off from Mage Knight, either. Imagine this leading your Apocolypse army!
1. clix works, and it works good and better, if its done right.
2. theres a huge range for clixgames
3. licensing works, and well done it would have worked for LotR and Narnia in Clix-segment, too
... and 1 more thing they didnt catch at wk till now (i think *g):
compatibility between "world-systems" (such as easy playing Toon aganist Hero, or maybe Narnia - MK) isnt a failure, it should be a feature.
it doesnt destroy sales, it increases, but u dont have to be afraid of going this way.

Actually I agree with most of this.
Clix is a great system no argument here and clix can support a wide range of games.
And if the games are close enough in theme compatibility is a great asset.
I would have loved it if MK had put out LOTR based on the MK system - lisensing can work.
Horrorclix / heroclix might work great together, their themes sort of match. Horrorclix / MK were made for one another.
..... but Toonclix is a disaster waiting to happen - it doesn't mesh well with anything in the current product line and by the time kids get old enough to enjoy playing clix they don't want to play with bugs bunny. I just don't see who's gonna buy this game.
Originally posted by Drakor13 This has nothing to do with what you guys are talking about, but is that Ctuthlu (sp)? I just might have to buy HorrorClix now.
Yes, it's Cthulhu.
Unfortunately, this could spell an early end to Horrorclix. Cthulhu causes madness on all who gaze on him. Then again, if the madness is fanatical Horrorclix buying...it could be the success ;)
That's an amazing sculpt. It looks a lot like I thought Cthulhu should look. As long as that's not the only Lovecraftian character in HorrorClix, count me in!
Too bad the big one's going to be a con exclusive. Putting that out on the open market would be great, there have been some large cthulhu figs before, but never with such a high profile game maker like WKs. I don't doubt that other critters from the mythos will appear in regular sets since it's supposed to be public domain by now.
Toonclix though...that's going to be a tough sell. Supposedly it's about helping the toons find their 'happy place' which is a, pardon the street jargon, gizzae way of saying objective based game play. It makes sense that it would be the G rated version of Horror Clix... plus the models from Samurai Jack and a couple others, plus monsters from a few of the shows I don't care about might not be so bad.
Unfortunately I think it has about as much chance of taking off as that Dreamblade game from WOTC.
That Plushy of him that doesn't quite induce madness.
If they make some good sculpts offa Anne Rice's and Brian Lumley's books I'll join in but I figure I'll be on the sidelines like I am with Heroclix waiting for Vertigo characters to be put into it. Loveless, 100 bullets, Preacher (They can make a big sculpt of God and Genesis right there)

To my knowledge, this hasn't been stated yet. They've mentioned how retailers get them. They've also mentioned it will be $90. However, it might not be a convention exclusive (although it's a good bet that it would be).
As for ToonClix, I know it's premature, but I think they can pull it off. They're aiming it towards kids and with brand recognition already at their side, yah, I think they can do it. :)
Cthulu looks great. I may just have to end up getting one. But I dunno yet. I really don't want to get pulled into collecting another game. The other figs so far look really cool too. And the thought of having black trenchcoat, cool sunglass, modified gun weilding uber cool vampire hunters is just awesome.....IT MUST BE MINE!!!!! :P
Seriously though, I am trying desparately to avoid the black hole-like force trying to pull me into Horroclix, but I can see myself loosing more ground every day/preview. *sigh*...hopefully the secondary market will offer what I want at a low price.
