Yea, I'm pretty much in it for the dogfighting, but you never know, the Ace battles could be cool. We'll just have to see when they come out (gnawing on fingernails with anticipation)
Thats part of the beauty of this game, the flexibility. the choice is yours (and your opponrents)
personally I'm in it, feet first, jumping into the deep end. I plan on playing both. and on occasion just a dogfight... i might even find some poor soul who just wants a pilot game... and if so I will accomodate him/her
At first it was about the Dogfighting, but now I'll have to stand back and really look at the two closely. It will be about the Dogfighting, but cant help what cool scenarios people will make up using both.
Unless the Aces game has some revolutionary game mechanics, I don't see it being very good. With only a few Aces duking it out at a time it seems to me it would be like playing Heroclix-lite.
Although I am a big fan of Wizkids games I must say the thought of a few guys (and gals) wearing leather helmets and aviator goggles in a slugfest just doesn't appeal to me.
actually Tybalt I have to strongly disagree, much of the flavor of the pulp setting is dependent upon the exploits of the aces. I dont see anyone playing just for the aces game, but that doesnt mean that the aces are superfluous in any way
When I first read the headliner I thought that the idea of the ace was to improve the performance of the plane being used. Example Take a normal plane with normal states then have the ace in which the states of the plane go up. At least thats what I thought it was.
