Alert I made a mistake and listed GR as both Green and Gray. It should be GY for Gray and I even ended up putting drill rockets in place of Mag Ammo.
Okay I was going to do Redmann’s Gang next but changed my mind and wanted to do the Navajo Nation. Not easy as I could only find 3 named NN pilots and I used them all for the Coyotes. There are not many Coyotes so all these pilots are either Legendary or Double Aces. I would suggest a rule Navajo Nation planes in the same squadron can collide with each other but this makes them cheaper in the long run. Now as for the second plane, it’s an autogryo since the canyons are just like the big cities.
Optional Drill Rocket Rule: (optional) Subtract 1 from the plane’s gunnery value during combat. If one of the attack dice hits, in addition to taking normal damage, the target must make a pilot check. If unsuccessful give the target plane an additional click of damage for each hit.

Comments: Sohoha Salawa is legendary pilot and feared warrior, but not as militant as most Navajo Nation warriors. So he is actually as command and is of course the natural choice as squadron leader. Then of course evasive maneuvers to help avoid hits. You may noticed that Sohoha plane has more clinks then Charlie’s Coyote, this is because almost every plane Charlie flies has one less click then what is expected for that plane. Now since most Warriors should be found in the canyons I decided to feature aerial harpoons and drill rockets. Even standard drill rockets are great for slowing down an opponent, but with aerial harpoons you might just ram them into the canyon walls.

Comments: Carlos Alchesay is one of more militant pilots and loves proving his worth by counting coups “diving into enemy formation without shooting”. So he has evasive maneuvers, armored components and a finer-tuned engine, but his kill total is higher then even Sohoha, so he has magnesium ammo. Like most NN air warriors his piloting skills are great. Most likely due to learning in the confines of the Grand Canyon.

Comments: Omau Umta Salawa is very militant and distrustful of outsiders. So I gave him a plane that can do quite of bit of damage with aerial harpoon, mag ammo, and dead eye.
Mesa-Autogiro
In 1934 the Cierva Autogiro Company of Spain sent a trade delegation to the Navajo Nation. Cierva Autogiro Co. founded by the inventor of the autorotation aircraft Juan de la Cierva, was looking for new markets for its products. Since the US breakup it has found itself squeeze out the large city markets by local aircraft companies. Juan came upon an idea after seeing a Paladin Blake movie about an adventure in the Grand Canyon, the canyon is really no different then the big cities.
After many attempts, Cierva’s delegation was finally granted an audience the Navajo council. Their presentation was meet with indifference and skepticism. But before they left they were contacted by a member of the Hopi tribe Soloho Salawa.
The legendary ace pilot Soloho, recently had a dogfight with The Sky Slavers trying to hide out in the maze of canyons. He saw first hand the advantages of autogryos. He brought the delegation to the Hopi elders and allowed them to present their case, along with his personal experiences against the craft.
The Hopi agreed and set up a deal to not only purchase the crafts, but produce and even design future autogiros. They pointed out the exporting items across many hostile nations, was difficult and that the canyons would prove a wonderful testing ground for such craft. Since the Navajo council didn’t see the important of such crafts, the Hopi were able to make a deal that they would act as Cierva Autogiro Co.’s official North America headquarters and distributor.
Second Mesa was the production site of Mesa-Autogiro. The Hopi proved very quick and innovative in getting things up and running. With the cooperation of Juan de la Cierva, who eventually got a home at Second Mesa, the plant was rolling off its first autogiro the A100 Nova in 1935.
Mesa-Autogiro A100 Nova
Nova means “Chases Butterflies” as the Hopi named it for its flying characteristics and to make it less tempting to the Navajo council. A small light craft that can fit two people it was made to patrol the canyons and mesas of Navajo Nation. It was fitted with 2 40mm Durango Arms machine guns and little armor. Its primary defense is its size, maneuverability and speed “which is fast for an autogyiro”. Production of the Nova has ramped upped quickly and has proved popular with a lot of the other minority tribes like the Apache, Utes, Pueblo, Zuni, and of course the Hopi. Inquires from Lakota, Arixo, Mexico, and even Hollywood have been coming in.
Note the model used for the A100 Nova is the same as the Liberte Travel Air and basically uses the same stats, but has (2) 40mm guns. Also when using autogiros I use the simple rule that they can rotate one octagon side at the end of their movement. This rotation is in the same direction as the movement card, right or left. If the movement is straight then the player may chose to rotate left or right. Also note that the autogiro has less clicks then even the lightest plane but all autogiros with have a high SI either 5 or 6. Also note the autogiro can have a movement zero but must make an engine check. This isn’t really hovering just moving very slowly.

Comments: Sihu “Desert Bloom” Bilagody a Hopi was one of the first Nova pilots and her name means flower. When told this Cierva gave her the nickname Desert Bloom, as Sihu was rather beautiful, it stuck. She is and excellent pilot and this is shown in her high performance, natural touch and over all good piloting skill. Being a favorite of Cierva also means Sihu’s craft is more fine tuned then others.

Comments: Hok'ee “Dot” Sunday is an orphan found by an old Navajo medicine woman. Her first name is Navajo for abandoned and she got her last name because that was the day she was found. Blonde haired and blue eyed “Dot” is a small petite girl who’s a quick learner. While she does have aerial harpoon I mostly gave her stuff like quick draw and evasive maneuvers, and a good engine. She is a cheap rookie flyer with a lot of potential.

Comments: Maria Yaiva is the daughter of Juan de la Cierva and married to a son of a Hopi elder. This was done in part to give grounds for allowing dealings with the outsiders. Luckily the pair has worked out well and she has become sort of a spokesperson for the company to non-native nations and groups. Being who she is her Nova is loaded with some of the best gadgets like aerial torpedoes, beeper-seekers, and nitro. She has a natural dead eye so she can be real tough is she can avoid getting hit.
ape,
I compared the stats that you gave these guys with the guidelines that I came up with. We match up, with one exception and that is the number of clicks of life.
I had set an upper limit of 13 based on the online version of Maria's dial, but it seems that they might have left off a bullethole click, allowing for a 14th active click. I may go check my numbers again.

That was something I was thinking about but Maria is a double ace and two of the Coyotes were Legendary pilots, so they get an extra click and there is room for it.
Normally I would have used Charlie in either the Firebrand or Coyote but she is the one that seems to get messed with with the most. I mean in say the Firebrand the other two aces have 12 clicks and normally a legendary pilot would add 2 more clicks, but Charlie seem to be different and starts out with one less click in every plane she is in. So I used the Firebrand and Vampires with all the normal Aces and just added two clicks.
So what did you think of the Autogyros. I looked up the real history background before adding them in. I was going to go with the Thunderbird but then this idea struck me.
I think that my numbers on the gyros are way off, mainly because I couldn't tell which ones were gyros. Now I'm guessing that is what the (g) means on Arcadia's list. I did a (very) little thinking about this when I saw your posts. It bothers me that they used the same speed values and accel, etc. for the gyros as the planes, where they would obviously be much slower. I plan to do some more thinking. I may just delete the entries for those unless I can get more information on how they are used in the old game.
Autogyros used most of the same value as the planes in the old game the major difference was they didn't have wings. So instead of having armor of 60-600 they could only have armor of 20-200 for the nose and tail. So I just lowered the clicks down two. I planned on some planes with SI of 8-10 and less then 120 armor to get eight clicks.
As for the speed they weren't that slow but of course I believe their upper limit was 3 or 4 but could stall for two turns in a row, instead of one. I know this one is tougher since it doesn't have any comparable models in Clicks but I hope to make a craft fair and balanced play wise while not nerfing it.
6 Navajo Nation Spirit Warrrors pilot/plane stat cards
2 Navajo Nation Ace Figure cards
Sheets of new and revised special equipment and skills
You need to be able to open a Mircosoft Office Publisher file. Then all you have to do is print on a color printer. Cut out and use a couple of small paper clips to track damage and speed. The Ace Figure cards only need 1 paper clip to track damage.
The new skills are just suggestions and I might even change them if I get a new idea or in playing them I don't like. Also the costs are more guesswork then anything else and so that might change as well. Right now I'm most worried about AP Rockets and HE Rockets.
Okay I'll being doing one more group so I can play test them. If anyone uses the cards please post here how it went. Also if you have any suggestions I'll gladly hear them. Oh and I might be coming up with some Signature Maneuvers but at a later time.
