Here is a problem that probably many of us have. I have 3 really good SS, Visquel,Tejada, and Eckstein. I am not really going for a power infield. I only have Young and Spivey at 2B. Is it better to put a really good defensive SS out of position than a poor 2B? Same with any position out except pitchers.

If you mean who is my pitcher? Well, right now it is Sheets. I was saying isn't it better to take a penalty to replace a 6 defense SS with a 4 defense 2B? My 2B are just average and I have too many good SS to just sit the bench. Same with CF. I want to use Juan Pierre but I also have Johnny Damon and Preston Wilson. I'm sure many will use A-Rod at 3B just to have Jeter/A-Rod in the same lineup.

With B.Sheets for Starter he spray chart mostly (GB or FB) going left field. So you need to build your Stadium in left field With Yellow DF or Red DF fences and Right field use Green DF fences.
So with Visquel or Eckstein is good for SS and use B.Philips on your 2B (to save point).
CF. J.Damon is better than Pierre .Also looking LF with defense +5.

(Note you can't use A.Rod on your 3B. :(

Actually he can. He would just have to make fielding rolls EVERY time A-Rod had a ball hit to him.

If your 2B is poor defensively, make sure to be able to cover him with defense-minded 1B & SS. Use Young at 2B & Eckstein if you are tight for points, or Vizquel if you aren't.
