So, can a flier carry a dude who's already carrying a heavy object? My friend says "NO," I sez "YES," and that's where we're at. Any thoughts? I need it pronto, pleeze.
Indy rule book page 11, Carrying Other Characters:
A flying character cannot pick up or carry a character that is holding an object, but the flying character may carry both a character and an object.
1) Thank you for the very quick response! Most helpful!
2) Is that new? I don't remember that from the DC rules...is that a change with the IndyClix?
3) That's dumb! Why should a character be able to pick up an object and a character, but not a character with an object? That defies laws of logic! Fie on you Wizkids! A pox on ye and yer family!

I know it's the same way it has always been, but I cannot remember if it was in the actual rulebook, or just the FAQs. Sorry I couldn't help you out more, but I kinda tossed out all of my old rules stuff....
It's been a section of the rules for flight since the beginning, yeah. A FAQ entry was added to make it clear that Thor and company could carry objects while carrying figures, but the restriction on carrying figs-with-objects is in the original rulebook.
As for logic behind it---don't think of it as Thor picking up Ulik, but of Ulik hanging on to Thor. Thor has his object in hand, and drags Ulik along. But Ulik can't hold on to Thor while carrying that dumpster.
