We had a question pop up in the Kurita thread that we are not sure about.
If you target 2 mechs with a ranged combat attack using energy do both mechs take the 2 heat that the pilots special ability gives?

(optional) When this unit uses a ranged combat attack using the "energy" range type to deal at least 1 damage to an opposing target 'Mech, the target gains 2 heat instead of 1.

I thought yes both target mechs should sense normally they each take a heat anyway. But the ability does not state any plurals, i.e. 'mech - 'mech(s), target - target(s).

It would give both mechs 2 heat. When a single unit is being dealt with, the card will state single target and they have always used the word single.

I agree. That is how it works.
