I apologize if these have already been stated, but I couldnt find them anywhere else.
1. I am going to use MTG terms here, do characters get 'damage counters' in combat. say a character has a defense of 10. he is attacked by a character with a ATK of 8; can he then be killed by a character with a 2 ATK, or does it reset?
2. For the Human Torch (and other such characters) can you pay the endurance multiple times and keep pumping them up? or is it only once per turn?
1. VS is not MtG. Characters don't accrue 'damage' and keep it over time, you just compare their defense against the ATK of the character(s) they are up against at that time. If the 2 and 8 ATK characters were engaged in a team attack against the defender, THEN they would add up their ATK against him, but not if they were attacking separately.
2. You can do this ONCE each time Human Torch attacks or is attacked. So it may be more than once per turn if, say, he was attacked more than once, but not more than once per attack. Human torch is not Channel/Fireball. :p
Mastermind's ability: activate - target character with a cost of 3 or less attacking Mastermind does not ready during the recovery phase this turn.
does this mean i can force a character to KO that attacker if i stun him and use his ability?
next one:
(this is more for clarification)
the Blob. if i put advanced hardware (activate - deal 3 damage) and activate him - my opponent cannot attack me if there is no one else in my front row, correct? essentially, when blob is in play, i cannot be attacked if he is tapped and everyone else is in the support row, right?

no. there are four states for a character:
Ready, Exhausted, Stunned, KO'd
if you stunned a character that has already been affected by Mastermind's ability, then that character would be 'recovered' from stunned to exhausted, instead of ready, if your opponent chose to recover that character during the recovery phase of course.

Blob reads:
Card Text:
While Blob is in your front row, support row Brotherhood characters you control cannot be attacked.
based on this ability Blob is a legal target for attack - only the support row becomes illegal to be targeted for attack. just because he is exhausted (the term in vs is 'exhausted', 'tapped' is the term used in that other game ;) ) does not mean he is immune to attack. only characters that are stunned cannot be targeted for attack (barring a potential effect in play that would change this)
Furthermore, Blob only protects Brotherhood characters in this way, so if you had a Skrull soldier in your support row, Blob's status doesn't effect your ability to attack him in any way.
Originally posted by StormShadow i just want to be sure im getting this right: even if a character is exhausted, it can still be the target of an attack?
That's correct. Only if a character is stunned, can they not be the target of an attack (it's like they're not even there).
