Im new to the game, and wanna get a good grasp on the rules so i can get other friends into it.
Im not sure of the difference between thresholf cost and recruit cost? is it technically the same and the only difference being that threshold is for locations and plot twists and recruit for characters?
also can locations be used in a chain during your opponents turn? i havent played but id just like to kno
Recruit costs are used for characters and equipment. If at the start of your recruit step, you have two cards in your resource row, you may play any of the following combinations:
A single one-cost character.
A single one-cost character and a one-cost equipment.
A single one-cost character and as much 0-cost equipment as you can legally attach to your characters.
A single two-cost character and as much 0-cost equipment as you can legally attach to your characters.
Notice that none of the totals go above two. That's recruit costs.
Now locations and plot twists are free if you have enough resources to meet their threshold. Using the same two resources above, you could flip over a Base of Operations, Marvel Team-Up or play Surprise Attack out of your hand.
Unlike recruiting, you don't keep track of points. You just ensure that for each play, the number in the upper-left corner is less than or equal to the number of resources you control.
