Just because you're considered to control Dr Doom, doesn't mean you control a doom character, right?

Put all other revealed cards on the bottom of your deck in any order. For each card put into your hand this way, discard a card from your hand.

That is the way I read it.

I don't think cdaniel gave any sort of answer... I'm pretty sure that you are correct when you say that it won't work, since Doomstadt only gives you Dr. Doom's presence on the field, not his other game text.

Doomstadt's power comes in handy for those cards which include "if you control a Dr. Doom".

Throne Room has a different requirement for the two cards: a Doom character (not even Dr. Doom).

So no, the two don't combo.

The statement "That is the way I read it" was ment to mean, I agree with how you interpet it.

There is a Faq on the UDE site, a link to which can be found in the thread titled "Card FAQ", started by Erick.
It states that being considered to control Dr. Doom is not the same as controlling Dr. Doom, or any Doom character, for that matter.

In short, no, it won't work.

Actually, all you have to do is read the card. Cards like Boris say "play this ability only if you control Dr. Doom". Doomstadt, Kristoff and Victor all say "You are considered to control Dr. Doom." The one ability validates the other.

Doom's throne room says "a Doom character". It isn't looking for Dr. Doom at all. It is looking for a character CARD with the affiliation Doom. If Doomstadt is all that is in play, it of course can not find that card.
