Ive read as thoroughly as i can, but still gives me a headache trying to figure out. I have several questions regarding this phase and how damage and effects are resolved.
Well before i get to my questions on the attack phase i want to get a couple things cleared up.
1.Can LOCATIONS be used in a chain? Can LOCATIONS/PLOT TWISTS/CHARACTER EFFECTS be activated ANYTIME during either players turn? Also regarding CHARACTER EFFECTS. For example one of my readied characters has been targeted by a PLOT TWIST/CHARACTER EFFECT to be either exhausted or stunned. If my character has an effect i can use before my opponents effect resolves can i use it?
2.This concerns the card WOLVERINE/BERSERKER RAGE. If he meets the requirements for his effect and is readied can he continue to attack as long as he continues to meet the requirements to his effect?
Ok well now onto the real questions id liked answers about the combat phase.
1-If my characters atk is greater than my opponents def, but my opponents atk is greater than my defense, are we both stunned? How do you determine which character is stunned during an attack exactly?
2-When a character is stunned my opponent takes BED and their characters resource cost as damage correct? Also if a character is reinforced what happens to that chaarcter? is it still stunned, but the defender takes no damage?
Im sure i have some other questions, but its givin me a headache thinkin of them all. Me and some friends tried this game out today, and the only problem was understanding all these phases and how they work correctly. If this could all be cleared up it would be greatly appreciated. thanx
well after reading it a bit more thoroughly this time around i only had one question answered. Which is that i could activate PT/Loc anytime unless otherwise stated.
The rest though is still up on the air for me, and id still like to know if Loc's can be used in a chain?

E: Yes, any generated effect (not modifiers) is chainable. Just remember the chain, last in, first out.

E: Yes... which makes him very cool for taking out all those lower cost characters.

E: Unless otherwise stated on the card, both characters are stunned. You determined it correctly.

E: Yes and yes. Sounds like you got the hang of it.
Ok a couple more things i would like cleared and everything should be cool.
When you mentioned modifiers cannot be chained. Does that mean like atk/def modifiers? in other words cards that change the atk/def of that character? so those cards cannot be chained to anything?
Also about the reinforcement on a character. Though the player doesnt take damage, does he still take damage through the resource cost of the card? since the character is still stunned. or is ALL damage nullified?
Well... opened a can of worms here. Modifiers are like what you described but some are generated through chainable effects (like One-Two Punch, Flying Kick, etc) and others through ongoing powers (like The New Brotherhood). They really don't go on the chain. In the first case, I'll call them generated modifiers, once the effect that generates them resolves, they aren't on the chain anymore and will continue to 'modify' unless negated or until the end of its stated lifetime (end of attack, end of turn, end of phase). Ongoing powered modifiers, however, are never on the chain (and cannot be chained to) and are only negated when the source is removed from play.
Whew... if you understood that -- more power to you. The above part is a bit more complicated than I can really explain without citing specific examples.
For your reinforcement question, you had it right. Reinforcement just prevents BEL (Breakthrough Endurance Loss), not SEL (Stun Endurance Loss). So he does take the endurance loss equal to the resource cost of the stunned character.
