Defending Characters

What is this I am hearing about Defending Characters dont deal breakthrough damage through playing Nasty Surprise...
...if so that is dumb and changes everything.

That is correct: defenders do not cause breakthrough endurance loss.

kinda sorta good to hear....
that will stop games from going as fast as they have been...

no longer a point to playing 4 nasty's on 1 big attacker...

On defense, you only want to add enough effects to reach the attackers def, or go slightly over, since there is no breakthrough.
