Hey I know I'll be there... Are there any other local playing groups or play areas in the seattle area? (i.e. is there a group that gets together in a local store somewhere?) I'm looking for people to play!
Yes. There are a bunch of us that play down at Table Top Games in Tacoma. I know it's a long ways (I live in the U-District) but that's where there are a bunch of players, and it's a great store. I guarantee you will find people to play on Saturday and Monday afternoons/evenings. I won't be there today but I will be there on Monday.
Yeah I've heard about that group. I was hoping there was something a little closer to the Seattle Area though... (seems weird that Tacoma would have a place, but Seattle wouldn't) Oh well, maybe I'll make the trek down next week.
Heh what happened? I just moved back to WA last year, and dunno what's been going on. It does seem curious to me that Seattle is home to WOTC and WizKids, but the gaming scene here is sort of weak.
Doesn't anybody play at Crossroads, or at the WizKids store in Redmond?
Well back in the day the big WotC game center drove a lot of the local stores out of business. Because of this, a lot of the local player-base is either gone or very bitter. Then the game center closed as well as just about every other decent game store in the area. Because the players weren't really there anymore, no new stores opened up. CCG's are pretty dead in the area as a result. The only place that seems to want to put any effort into organizing play and supporting the game is Tabletop down in Tacoma. We are building up a nice regular player group there.
Well, this weekend is the back to back UDE VS System PCQs for Seattle. There will be both a Limited and Constructed Q on both Saturday and Sunday with the same schedules as described above.
NOTE: Due to the fact that there will be two sets of qualifiers back to back this weekend, the originally scheduled PCQ for the next weekend on the 17th has been cancelled.
The next PCQ for Seattle is anticipated to be some time between the middle of August and the middle of September depending on availability of location as well as possible conflicts with Gen Con Indy. This will begin the next season of PCQs which will qualify for the Pro Circuit stop at Gen Con Socal in Anaheim this winter.
Timwan (and any other interested Seattlites), PM me for details about local tournaments. There's a Greenwood-area comic shop planning on monthly or bi-weekly events.
The first will most likely be the 24th of this month.

Good luck at the PCQ!
Do you guys have players up here? There are some down in Tacoma where we have been driving down to every now and then. I live in the U-District and would be thrilled if there was an active community in the Seattle area somewhere.
Is anyone in the Seattle area planning (or wanting to plan) on playing tomorrow (Friday, July 9) in preparation for the PCQ? VS is my first TCG, and I don't have any TCG playing friends, so I've had all of these cards for months, but I have yet to play even a single game! I'd love to be able to play some people tomorrow (and possibly even do some trading) so that the PCQ doesn't have to be my first time ever playing!!!
I guess just PM me or post here with any thoughts. This is also my first post to VSrealms, although I've been lurking on here for months too, so I don't really know how all of this works.
