The announcement of the prize foils seems too good to be true... the Children of the Atom is only being given to the 64 winners at Origins? Can you imagine an MTG card that rare?

yeah and two of them went for some pretty good money on ebay. 66 for a New brotherhood and 52 for the children of the atom. Im pretty sure if they do keep these limited as they say these bad boys will be the new black lotus' of the ccg market.

The one difference between these and the black lotus is this:

I can pay $1.00 and get a new brotherhood or $5-10 for Children of the atom. Sure, it dont have the really cool looking artwork but they play just the same. There is no equivelent in magic for the lotus. Damn I wish I still had mine!

Wasn't there a MTG card a few years back that they only made one of, and gave to the world champion?

Anyway, I can't get to origins but as long as the foils are identical to the regular cards as far as gameplay goes, it doesn't bother me.
