I'm not sure how to ask this question, but here we go.

Can you exhaust an already exhausted character you control for an effect that says "as an additional cost, exhaust a character you control"?

example: Team Tactics, Tech Upgrade, Mystical Paralasis, Bat Signal, Circle of Defense, Heroic Sacrifice.


i ask this, because there are cards that especifically states that you must exhaust a READY character. these cards include: Museum Heist, and Crack the Vault. if this is true, then can you really exhaust an exhausted character for any effect that just says "exhaust a character you control"?

(This is stated in another recent thread) Basically, when exhausting is a part of a cost, you must exhaust a ready character.

When exhausting is part of an effect, it is not necessary for the character to be ready.

If it is part of a cost, it must be ready in order for you to pay with exhaustion.
