our shop here would if they would move some crap...other than that we have no place,or shop to play as of yet

Some card shops don't have the room for it, some card shops run tournaments in their stores. Depends on the owner.

In a polite way, you need to show him how it would profit his store to have a place for you to play in his shop.

My gaming shop holds leagues and tournies about twice a week and lets random people play therethey play anything and everything. So I guess I'm lucky

I work at the local gaming shop, and we have a large gaming area.

we have a good 6-7 big tables for card/board games. Another table is set up for Wargaming (complete with a custom done terrain table made by a couple of our local players), and we also have a back room which usually gets reserved for Roleplaying groups (or occaisionally for smaller drafts of VS if the store is crowded).

Heck our store is even going to be hosting States for Magic in a month or so.

We play at our store every sunday. We run a little tournament. We usually run 6-8 guys. We give the owner $5 per person to play. He gives 3 packs for the winner, 2 for second, and one for third. Not a bad deal at all. Usually when new sets come out, or just if we want, we do draft or sealed. Last time it was $20 for 5 packs.

He does a great job working with us.

some stores,like the stores i go to only have room for the comics and tpb...it's a comics and tpb store,but they have games there too.....but there will be a games store coming
