how exactly does this work? (is this even legal with the new rules?)
e.g., i have magneto, and he is based by an opposing thug. i want to use the thug as an object and TK him into another enemy fig (let's say, spider-man) 10 spaces away.
1) i have 2 rolls to make, right? the first roll is to determine whether i TK the thug (measure against thug's defense), then the second roll is to determine whether i hit rhino (measure against rhino's defense).
2) if both rolls are successful, how much damage do i do to spider-man?
3) does the thug get damaged as well? if so, how much?
You can't use the Thug as an object that deals damage. You can however TK a figure out to attack which is even more effective. I'd rather throw a V Cheetah out for B/C/F action than a light object for 2 damage.

I thought it was Spider-Man. ).No. You have 1 roll to make. Roll versus the Thug's defense. You cannot use the Thug as a weapon so no second roll is needed.
2) if both rolls are successful, how much damage do i do to spider-man?None because what you propose, while fun, is not a legal game concept.
3) does the thug get damaged as well? if so, how much?Again, no damage to the Thug because this can't happen.
You can't use another figure as a weapon, only objects. Just like the Hulk can't pick up another figure (alive or ko'ed) and use them as a weapon.
The most you can do is either move them to where they are out of the way, or into a spot advantageous for you other characters.
eg. first option: Shadowcat taxied V Logan next to my Quasar. Looking at my options realized if I simply attacked I'd knock him into his Flurry/BCF clicks. However, there was a rooftop at the edge of TK range, with the stairs down on the far side. I put him up there taking him out of the fight for at least 3 turns
ed. second option: Indy clix fight. I got a stealthed Rasputin and Sam Ray on a rooftop, and Johnny Alpha on one side of the building. Opponent's Hellboy moves in out of range and up to Johnny, out of sight from my rooftop cannons. Johnny TK's Hellboy onto another rooftop right in front of Rasputin and Sam, they proceed to fry Hellboy, and he ends up too hurt to get out of their line of fire.
This move was never legal. That is the problem with 'House Rules'. It teaches you how to play the game wrong. That is why I prefer not to use them. 'House Rules' can be fun if it is a temporary thing or if everybody knows that it is a 'House Rule'.
