Yes, they can mimic it, but if they aren't a flier, it won't do them any good. You have to be a flier to carry people. All the GL team ability does is change the number of figures you can carry. It doesn't grant non-fliers the ability to fly or to carry someone, just the number you can carry if you can fly.

Just being an anal rules lawyer here. But technically doesnt' the GL TA grant the ability to carry. The idea of it is the power ring making a bubble to move people with. Who is to say that Kyle, Hal, or John couldn't just walk around with people floating over his head.
If the Superman Ally TA can allow essential L/C to grounded Wildcards (figures are not affected by hindering terrain)why not this?
Of course this issue will only come up in Cross Universe TA Crossovers since every member of the Legion has a flight ring.

You could mimic the GL ability and go for extra kill points on a Sentinel, I believe. (Not sure tho')

Yeti, although the wording of the Green Lantern ability may not be entirely clear, only fliers can pick up or carry characters. A wildcard who is not a flier copying the GL ability would not be able to pick up or carry the character.

tidge, you could not mimic the GL team ability to get extra points for KOing Sinestro. You can only mimic for team ability purposes only. For everything else (including AE bonuses) they are a member of the team listed on their base.

While I believe this to be the intent of the Green Lantern TA, the wording is a character with the Green Lantern team ability may carry up to 8 additional characters. It does not indicate that the character with the ability needs to be a flying character. It is my understanding that the PAC and TAC supersede the normal rules. As such, it would seem that a grounded wildcard character copying the GL TA may 'carry' up to 8 figures. While this is not an issue in the DC universe as all wildcards are fliers, in an open format, a case could be made for the grounded wildcards.

One question and one answer. Since the PAC does not SPECIFICALLY state that GL can carry without flying then it does not overide the rules for carrying. The only way what you said would be true is if it said "This character does not need to be a flyer to carry" or something like that.

A did a search on th Green Lanter TA. This post had the most relevent infomation to which I wanted to make an observation and receive feedback. I understand your response and will consider it further.
