I was watching come games being played yesterday and seen someone use USS Argus and Terra. They activated Argus to reveal the four cards, then used Terra to KO the location, but kept the four cards.

I didn't say anything cuz I didn't want to intrude on another's game, but that seemed wrong to me.

Summed up, Argus says reveal the top four cards and put one in your hand, put the rest on the bottom of your deck.

I dont see how KO'ing Argus lets you keep those cards, as you never "drew" them in the first place, you only revealed them. Plus, how can KO'ing the location negate only half of the effect? I would assume that by activation Argus, you must do the whole effect.

The reason I thought using Terra on Argus was such a good idea was for the one turn you need to search for something, but didn't want to keep putting useful cards on the bottom of your deck, so you KO it after one use.

You are correct.

Once activated, the effect is independent from the source. The player should have still put the other 3 cards into the bottom of the deck.

If yuo are a judge I personally think that it is our responsibility to catch game errors and explain the situation to both parties. This is just my opinion and I'm sure theres 10 more to go against it. I think if you dont let that person know they played a card wrong, they will continue to play it that way, leadign to more and more confusion later on.

To answer the question, yeah, he was wrong.

Unfortunately I am not a judge. This was just a store sponsored event that I was running. And since I'm not an official judge, I didn't want to rule on something I could be wrong about.

But I would like to become a Judge. I'm just not sure how. I went to UDE site and it says I need a UD registration number, so I guess I have to get one of those. Just need to find a place to get one.

sorry, i didnt mean any offense. If you have played Sanctioned YGO then you already have an UDE#, otherwise jsut go sign up
