Cyborg and "weird" equipment

Can you boost cyborg and get an equipment that can only be equipped to a character with a certain characteristic?

For example, can you boost zero with cyborg and get a beta club?

Or does beta club check only when you recruit it?

Yeah.

Even though Cyborg can by-pass equipment uniqueness with his boost, equipment restictions still apply.
