I have two scenarios that I need clarification on with regards to Himon:
1) My opponent stuns Himon. Then after stunning Himon he plays a Bat Signal. As a response I then use my New Genesis to recover Himon therefore rendering his text active again. Does that fizzle the Bat Signal or any non-onging plot twist with a cost of 1 for that matter that has been played?
2) My opponent stuns Himon. Then after stunning Himon he then proceeds on to playing The New Brotherhood. I respond by recovering Himon with New Genesis. Does Himon render The New Brotherhood inactive?
Can i get a judge's ruling on this? Thanks in advance guys!
First, don't double post, and sometimes it takes more than a couple hours to get a response. It's just bad etiquette to post so closely together.
To answer your question:
Himon's effect only prevents a Plot Twist from being played. If a Plot Twist has already been played, then recovering Himon will do nothing to stop the resolution of the Plot Twist. This would be similar to recruiting a character with Loyalty and the opponent KOing the only character on your board. The costs were paid for the recruit, so the recruit goes through (you play the character.)
Himon also has no effect on Ongoing Plot Twists that are already face up when Himon's effect comes back into effect (such as recovering him in chain to the flip of New Brotherhood).
So in both your situations, recovering Himon will not prevent what you are attempting.
