If I play a character in my KO'ed pile with cost 2 or less with Witching hour, and then bring it to my hand during recruit phase, could I play it for 2 endurance again? Does it lose the "memory" of being targeted by the witching hour (as it could be a diffrent copy of the same card I'm playing again). I'm really curious about it, as Witching Hour seems potentially abusable...
Once the character card enters the in play zone Witching Hour no longer applies because any time an object changes zones it is no longer the same object. So when your character card comes into play it becomes a character and Witching Hour no longer affects it. Even if it were to change to the hand zone though and remain a character card it would still not be the same object.
For reference here is Witching Hour's text

7 Cost
As an additional cost to play Witching Hour, pay 2 resource points.
Choose any number of Underworld character cards in your KO'd pile each with a cost of 2 or less. During your recruit step this turn, for each of those cards, you may recruit it as though it were in your hand, and you may pay 2 endurance rather than pay its recruit cost.

it seems to me that as wh says 'for each of those cards' it would seem as though it would remember the card for as long as it is able to be used.
now if it is only able to be used once as such, then i guess it is still only remembering the card for as long as it was able to be used, but it sure looks like it would over-ride any 'forgetful tendencies' that wh might have.
I agree with WebDev---once the character is recruited, leaving the KO'd pile and coming into play, it is no longer the same object. Once it changes zone, it is no longer one of the cards you chose for Witching Hour, and can no longer be recruited through Witching Hour's effect.
