Iv started playing around with a spider-friends deck and have come across a few questions.

Im wondering when the game checks for uniqueness, IE when to play scarlet spider to keep multiple spidermans in play at once.

Im also wondering when a card refers to a character, IE cosmic spidermans text, it only effects Spiderman:cosmic spiderman, not otherones, unless otherwise said, correct?

You would need to reveal scarlet spider before you get spiderman.

Cards will refer to there selves by what they are called. So think of it as "this spiderman," or "this superman."


In other words "correct."

i dont think i worded that as well as i wanted to, i mean say its turn 5, i already have the 3 drop spiderman out, i reveal scarlet spider and recruit the 5 drop.

when is the next time i need to reveal scarlet spider, to not have to ko one of the spidermen in play

Uniqueness is only checked on recruitment. At no other time except when you recruit a character is uniqueness checked. So as long as you reveal scarlet at that time it's okay.

to elaborate. it will never check during combat, recovery, draw, not even during future build phases. Only when you recruit another character with the same name will it check.

Since you're asking about uniqueness, it may help to actual see the Uniqueness Rule in front of you, as it's actually fairly explicit.Spider-Man's uniqueness only matters when recruiting a character named Spider-Man.

how about if i Recruita Spider-Man and chain Scarlett Spider's effect to the recruit?? Does the other Spider-Man get KO'd or not??

If you play Spiderman, then reveal Scarlet Spider after you play Spiderman, before passing priority, then you will not have to KO your existing Spidermen. Only if you allow another Spiderman to come into play while it is unique will all your other Spidermen be put into the KO'ed pile. Read the rule as posted above.
