The 2-drop Scarlet Spider has Spider-Man as an identity. Identity is essentially ignorable. That is, only itself or the 6-drop SS forces it to be replaced on recruitment. It also means you cannot use the 2-drop SS to Costume Change for Spider-Man. Even though Scarlet Spider shares an identity with the name of Spider-Man character cards, identity does not matter for effects such as Costume Change or power-ups.
