This isn't regarding the VS set of the Avengers. Just wanted to touch on the actual comic of the Avengers current roster.
Q: Any guesses as to who the mysterious looking ninja guy might be? For the alternate art covers I've seen he or she(most likely he) has to different costumes. Who is this guy?
Q: Any speculation of where the storyline is heading? Especially now with what looks to be the death of everyone's favorite Mutant Terydactl?
hey now that this is moved I'll make a worthwhile comment
I love the new avengers, and so far the tie in that have been happening in Amazing Spiderman have been great! Peter walking into his apartment with Wolverine putting the moves on MJ! And the Jarvis doing the same to Aunt May!
The storyline is really picking up. Although, Bendis said no one has correctly guessed who the stealthy looking ninja might be. So I'm almost quite sure that we can rule out DD.
Is anyone guessing who Jessica is working for? Seeing as it's a new run, and a somewhat different Avengers, I'm saying that it is Dr. Doom, just for the hell of it.
He can be a really well done behind the scenes villain.
I can see him with his hands in everything.
Although does that mean he was behind Sauron's escape?
I just don't want it to be hydra or whatever they are doing with hydra in astonishing.
Couple questions?
Why was Saurons file sealed so high up that not even cap could get into it. He is usually just a mutant on the Brotherhood.
Who is Sauron a good (but unconventional) foil for?
I guess Sentry is a good super baddass but I am surprised that cap would take so quickly to a wife killer. It just seems out of character for him. Does any one else have a problem with, "Hey I don't know who you are SuperWifeKiller but Reed says that you are OK so welcome to the team."?
Marvel should stop calling itself the "House of Ideas". Right now we have a mysterious benefactor in Runaways and New Avengers, Thunderbolts was doing it for awhile there. It's tired hat as far as plot devices go but when it's happening in several titles at once it's annoying.
Despite this, I've liked most of New Avengers. Spider-Woman schooling Wolvie was what made the book for me. No other scene before that did it for me quite as much.
