Does a character's effect activate the moment it is stunned? For instance Nightwing (6 Drop GK) attacks my Ra's Al Ghul swordmaster. No one activates anything so both are stunned. Does the controller of Nightwing draw if the battle resulted in him stunning as well? Also....

If I draw with Spolier on the field do I gain one life per card or is it treated per draw? I draw 2 for my turn. Do I gain 2 life or one as it was one draw? Thanks.

Activate only truly applies to an activated power (Activate -->).

You mean to say "no one plays effects."

When or whenever denotes triggered powers. These will trigger (not activate) when a character stuns another, even if they are stunned in the process. In other words, as long as Nightwing stuns a defender, he can draw a card even if he becomes stunned as a result.

Spoiler will give you 1 life for each card you put in your hand.

In response to your first question, the Comp Rules says this:

502.3 Triggered effects that trigger based on an object gaining the stunned characteristic or leaving play will look back to the moment right before the object became stunned or left play to determine if the effect existed then so that it could trigger.

So, any triggered power that is triggered off stunning a character, like Grayson-6, you still get his effect even though he stunned too.


In response to your second question, if a triggered power reads, "Whenever you draw a card, do X", then when you draw two cards in the draw phase, you will have triggered the power twice.
Every time you draw a single card, you "hit the trigger" and before anyone else gets priority again, the triggered effect will go on the chain once for each time the trigger was hit.

So, after you draw two cards, before anyone else gets priority, Spoiler will add "You may gain 1 endurance" and "You may gain 1 endurance" to the chain.
