Since I saw the concealed deck that won the PC I have been play testing it. Here is the question:
Swan Dive:
Play Swan Dive only during your attack step.
As an additional cost to play Swan Dive, stun a Marvel Knights character you control.
Stun any number of target characters your opponents control if their combined cost is less than that of the Marvel Knights character you stunned this way.
Can I legally do the following:
Declare and attack with a 4 cost charater. Then once the attack is declared legal, pump up my character. Then once the pumps resolve use swan dive, stunning my attacking character, to stun a 3 and 1 cost character.
I would be using swan dive before my attack is completely resoved, so would my character still stun the character it was attacking (assuming that it wold have stunned it before I used swan dive?)?
And how does this effect the combat pumps that already resolved?
Can a stunned character still have the attacker characteristic?
If this is legal, the deck is far sicker than I thought.
m3gatl20n is incorrect that the attack becomes illegal; once an attack is legal, it cannot be made illegal anymore.
When an attacker is stunned, it is removed from the attack (because it loses it's attacker status). The attack does not become illegal.
The attack will still conclude; if there are no attackers, nothing happens. If it was a team attack, the remaining attackers will do ATK/DEF comparisons with the defender.
Your stunned 4 cost character is no longer part of the attack, and will not be able to stun the defender.
OK, great. I assume that works that same when using Emerald Dawn. If my opponent attacks a character I control, if I wait for the attack to become legal, I can then using emerald dawn to search for a character and the attacker will no ready.
Also, note that Swan Dive using a 4-cost character CANNOT stun a 1 drop AND a 3-drop. The combined cost must be LESS THAN the cost of the character you stunned for the additional cost. Just a side note...

This is wrong. While the attack is still legal, you will go into attack conclusion and there will be no defender. If there is no defender, then the attacker will ready.

Actually that's not correct either (if I'm reading that last "no" to mean "not" and not "now"). If a defender is removed from an attack, then the attacker WILL ready. It's only if the attacker is removed from the attack that it will not ready.

Nope, it doesn't work that way. When a defender is removed from the attack (which is the case you're suggesting above), when the attack concludes, all attackers will ready.
