Last night I was playing a quirky underworld deck, and turn 7 hits and I play Witching Hour. Now, I have a Nekra in play, and one in my KO'd pile too, and I also have 2 Gone but not Forgotten out. Am I right in saying that I can pay 2 endurance to recruit the Nekra from my KO'd pile into play, which KOs the first (gaining me 4 endurance) then repeat over and over for infinite life?
Something didn't sit well with me in in this situation, but I can't see any reason why it doesn't work...
Ah right, so any more that are placed in your KO'd pile after playing Witching Hour cannot 're-target' them. Makes sense. Teachs us to not read the cards closer eh?
The other key here is that when an obect changes zones, it is no longer the same object. So even if Witching Hour did continuosly target...the Nekra that you targeted before is no longer the same Nekra and therefore no longer a target.
S'alright, just replace Nekra with Rama tut and get Witching Hour over and over again. Kristoff gives you necessary control of Doom and is a 2 drop. Ok there is no infinite loop, but it might as well be.
There was a whole deck built around this concept. It did pretty good in the last Chicago 10K but just not quite good enough to make big money. Almost all the characters were 2 cost or lower, (only exception being 4 drop Doom) and he threw in Devil's Due so that he could choose to KO them to get a +1/+1 counter. He also had cards that would mill his deck. So on turn seven he would play WH the first time and get most of his deck in the KO pile and by the end of his recruit he had nearly 200 Endurance 3 VERY Huge characters and at least of of your characters with a blindsided on it.
I saw one of his opponenets actually survive turn 7 and on 8 when his opponent realized, WH could be played 4 times instead of just 3 he scooped.
