So there I was last night putting together a couple of decks for my Hobby League night, I had laid out all my cards ready to put them in sleaves. I turn around to put the Imperiex in the deck only to find the all powerful one had vanished!! Lo and behold, Imperiex, the Beginning and the End had met his end folded in half and tucked away in my three year old daughters cash register toy. Anyone else have to balance the joys of parenthood with joys of VS?
I had to miss the recent UK 10K to look after the kids whilst the wife worked! Suck-o-rama! Although, in saying that, we had a really fun day wrecking the house and stuff.
I have a little two-year-old girl who just LO-OVES everything her daddy's into. Lord knows I encourage her to know all the comic lore a little tyke can. She can identify lots of heroes (most notably Batman and Superman...she even recognizes their movie theme music!). So when she asked me for some cards when I was organizing them one day, I...well, how could I say no? But then again, how could I give her a few cards to play with knowing she'd go nutso and bend them and chew on them (lesson learned when I gave her a sealed Green Lantern pack to flip around; I consider my tooth-stamped Light Armor a good luck charm)? I got the bright idea of giving her a small set of commons from a giant stack I had stored in a Christmas tin. She's in some kind of heaven now, picking through her own cards and mashing them and just loving life. (Still can't get her to stop calling Spider-Man SUPERman, tho.)
Better this than a wild pack of Barbies laying all over the place.
i gave my three year old girl, who won't leave home without her stuffed spider-man doll, and begged me to put posters of soop man( superman) and baman(batman) on her wall, alot of my useless crap commons.
she makes little piles with them, and tries her hardest to shuffle, she even says things like, "pass" and "my turn" to whatever doll is sitting across from her.

Copying her father huh? I guess another phrase you often repeats : "I concede - I'm so inferior to the Kaminator" ;) :p
Cerys who is 5, likes to help me put my cards in my binders, and she loves Teen Titans, Justice League etc. Anya at three is the one who likes to find new and amusing ways of destroying my cards.
My seven year old daughter just wants all my heroine cards, while my 3 year old son always wants to play my Batman cards. Nothing like getting to the HL and finding your deck to be 16 cards short of being legal because the boy has hidden your bats.
My son is 10. He's old enough to play with me. He goes to tournaments, and beats a lot of the older, so called, better players. But do you know how expensive it is to get 2 playsets of beatdowns?

That's truly classic.
My wife's 14 and 10 year old have learned to play. Unfortunately they don't listen to me and haven't picked up the game as well as they did Yugi-Oh, but it's still fun to go to Hobby League together.
WHile I have no children, my dog once ate the top couple offoils from my Wildstorm Set 1 stack - I'm not even sure how he got at them - so, knowing that he likes the look and taste of foily things, I make sure that my cards are all boxed up and out of his reach =)
