Well it seems like another set (DJL) has it's European (or at least UK) release date pushed back to - unknown. This has happened before, and with the lack of communication regarding the absence of a non-us PC, I'm beggining to think that UDE holds the foreign (non north american) market in very low regard. Is there any explanation for the delay in DJL's release? I heard something about repackaging. Anyone have any info?

VS in europe is peanuts regarding USA so the company put all their efforts in USA. I'm talking about money here, but that's what we are talking about anyway when we are talking UDE....
For the delay in JLA I heard in France that is was a problem of printing (as an example we used to have here the avenger boosters with 5 rares, yes 5 rares cards per boosters).
What is interesting here is the fact that is not only in France that there is a delay, because the official here are saying "we have problems with the printing of french cards" but it seems that it's an european problem, not a local one.
But then again, how is a printing problem an example of UDE shafting Europe and holding them in low regard? Obviously, if it is actually a printing problem, then UDE can't really control that.

What lack of communication? There's not gonna be one, what else is there to say?
Nobody really likes the Europeans, as a matter of fact, we hate you.
Seriously though, I think the reason why US is held at first queue is because we are the largest consumer of the product. I'm not saying that people in Europe don't like it as much, just that the vast majority of buyers would be US even if they had equal distribution. While I do think that this is a shame, it makes a good amount of sense on the financial level.
Of course they really could have a printing error and they would rather hold off shipments than sending a poor quality product out.
Maybe I'm too easy going, but being shafted by UDE seems a bit strong. Does it really make all that much difference if we getr JLA late, if all of europe is getting JLA late?
Since it effects everyone equally, then surely the net effect is that it effects noone, in terms of going to any up & coming 10k (i.e. Breman)?
As for the matter of the PC. It comes down to numbers ( we don't have enough) and IMO travel.
Would I be right in saying more Americans came over to PC Amsterdam, then europeans have gone to any one PC in America?
We europeans just don't like to travel. How many people outside of Germany are going to Breman? (Tim doesn't count).
Sure once in awhile we go out in to the world and do some amazing things, like discover America or Austraila, but mostly we like to stay at home.
As a side point, it is almost christmas. Which means money that would normally be spent on VS cards will be spent on christmas cards and so forth. So I don't really think we are missing out any more then we would around this time through our own change in expend-it-tures.
Europe is not receiving a PC for the same reason New Zealand or Japan isn't. There are just simply more players in the US then anywhere else. It makes more sense to hold the large tournaments where a majority of VS players reside, nothing more.
I'm sure 10ks will be all over the world, but the biggest events need to be where most people will be able to attend. I'm actually betting that more 10ks will be held in L.A and Florida then anywhere else because those represented the highest numbers of players at the last PC.
plus I think they realized how difficult banking from europe back to the states is
i know people who made money in amsterdam and didnt get thier check until AFTER they got thier money from PCNY
i personally think there needs to be a PC in the 4 corners of the country or something close to that ... no PC in the north east is kinda lump. I hate indy, i dont wanna go there. Make it boston or new york or philly.
Originally posted by triangle A lack of communication is exemplified by me asking, as I did last week, a question about this very subject - and getting no reply.
Do they owe you any further explanation on the subject? What weren't you clear on when they posted the schedule? There's not gonna be a European PC. Just like there's not an Australian or an Asian one. I don't see what else there is to say.
I'm sure the reason you didn't get a response is because they know that there is nothing they can say short of "Ok we give! Here's your Euro PC" that will satisfy you. And any other response will just mean another email from you trying to argue your point for something that just isn't happening.
We all know that it sucks to not have a PC on the same continent that you live on, but we them's the breaks:ermm:

Now I really can't stand this. These poor European guys don't even have a PC on their continent, and you have the testicular fortitude to complain about a particular city. I mean it would litterally only cost you like a quater of the time and money it would take them to attend, and you wanna move it a few hundred miles to the east. How can you be so cruel to our friends from across the pond? I mean i can understand a little complaining if UDE has shafted your whole continent but if they just have it a city your not a big fan of then really you got no room for belly aching.
