basicly the number next to the boost is the number of additional resource points needed for that effect to happen
ex. DR LIght (6) boost 3 in order to play the boost you would have to play Dr Light on turn 9 or greater.
if it has boost x then x euals the number of resource points you spent
ex phat (1) boost x: x equals the additional number of rsources you pay so to say you play phat as the only character on turn 5 and you wanted to use his boost. hen the x would turn into a 4 (ergo a boost of 4).
It is definitely resource points. Endurance totals would be too broken, because some characters have boost X, and some cards, such as DC origins Scarecrow would be too broken.

It is officially endurance.
Gosh, it's a good thing you checked with your hobby league judge for the official ruling, instead of reading the line, "All boost costs are expressed in resource points unless noted otherwise" in the rulebook.. if you hadn't, we'd all be making the same mistake of thinking the rulebook was right.
hmmm. well, does anyone use boost then. i mean, look at the venom from web of spidey...and there are many examples where the character is BARELY worth the regular cost as it is...let alone another 2 or 3. weird.
oph yea people use boosts they come in really handy if if you dont have a certain drop out and you dont want to play nothin but weenies especially in new school with Dr Light(6) who boosts to a 9 drop or higher.
