alright, hypothetical example. my oponent and I draw our cards at the start of the turn, he now had three cards in hand. I have two copies of "justice league of arkham", and satisfy the team-up conditions to be able to play them both. Is there a priority point before his resource step during which i can play those team ups, theredby guaranteeing that he miss his drop, (or not put a resource down and under drop)?
assuming that it is his initiative, how would the timing and priority work?
Remember that there will always be a chance to play new effects after an earlier effect resolves. Both you and your opponent will need to pass on an empty chain before you leave the draw phase after letting the "draw 2 cards" effect resolve; instead of passing, feel free to play some effects. You'll also have a chance during the build phase, as there is a point of priority before the initiative player's resource step begins.
At both of these priority points, your opponent will get priority first, passing it to you if he wants to move onward. This is because you are not in any player's own step, making the player with initiative the primary player.
With the growing potential of reservist-based decks, though, keep in mind that the opponent could still recruit an on-curve character from his resource row in your scenario.
Awesome, thanks muchly for the info.
I'm thinking arkham discard is finally viable now.....it's been a loooong time in coming.....maybe I'll team them with x-discard.........:o)
