While looking over the FAQ, I came across two entries that stumped me.
Taskmaster is the first, though I have an idea as to why it works as it does
Example: As the combat phase starts, Taskmaster is equipped with Power Gem, which reads, “Equipped character gets +3 ATK while attacking a character.” As Taskmaster’s triggered effect resolves, you choose a character with 15 ATK / 15 DEF. While Taskmaster is attacking a character this phase, he has 15 ATK / 15 DEF, not 18 ATK / 15 DEF, because his modifier overwrites the earlier Power Gem modifier. If you play Savage Beatdown, he will become 20 ATK / 15 DEF this attack as usual.
Is the Power Gem modifier there as soon as he's equipped? At first, I was thinking you choose to play his ability and then you don't get the Power Gem modifer until you attack. My assumption is that Power Gem would have to read "WHENEVER equipped character attacks a character, equipped character gets +3 ATK", is that correct?
[b]Time Gem, Infinity Gem

Whenever equipped character becomes stunned, you may return Time Gem to its owner's hand.
Whenever a player plays a non-ongoing plot twist, return Time Gem to its owner's hand.{/B} If you do, discard a card and negate that plot twist's effect.
The italics above update the printed card text. If Time Gem is no longer in play as the triggered effect resolves, you neither discard a card nor negate that plot twist's effect. That power triggers whenever any player (including you) plays a non-ongoing plot twist
How can Time Gem still be in play as the triggered effect resolves if the triggered effect IS removing Time Gem from play by returning it to your hand? Is it still in play at the moment it resolves?
the Power Gem example has to do with Time-Stamping, the time-stamp on the Power Gem is when it came into play, not when it triggers
the Time Gem example is saying when the Time Gems triggered effect, not the Plot Twist effect, resolves. it is basically saying that if you do not return Time Gem to hand via Time Gem's triggered effect, you cannot diacard a card to negate the PT effect

right on. so the gem doesn't return right when it's triggered, but when it resolves. I'm surprised there's no "may" on Time Gem's effect. Makes it really easy for your opponent to play around.
thanks for clearing those up togo. I had a rules fever, but was cured by more cowbell
