Thinking of doing an S6/IG team-up for DCMA. Not quite sure about Dr. Destiny and Help Wanted.
Card text:
As an additional cost to play Help Wanted, discard a Secret Six character card.
Reveal the top six cards of your deck. Choose a team affiliation of a revealed character card, put that card into your hand, and put the remaining cards on the bottom of your deck.
Ongoing: Crossover Secret Six and the chosen affiliation.
Destiny is unaffiliated. Can I pick him? I'm leaning no but I'm not definite. I'd love to pick him, though. Thoughts?
Help Wanted

you choose a team affiliation, and "unaffiliated" is not an affiliation.
I figured as much. The only thing that Destiny would qualify as is "a revealed character card" so I was hoping against knowledge and logic that it might work.
Ongoing: Characters you control, as well as cards in your hand, KO'd pile, and deck lose all team affiliations, have the Crisis affiliation, and cannot have any team affiliation other than Crisis.
Character cards you own are not unique.
Whenever you recruit a character, KO all characters you control with both the same name and version as that card.
So it does affect cards in your deck. But you can't team them up so I was wondering if you could still play "Help Wanted" and get the character without teaming up.
If he was desperate to combine the two, he could pay the cost of Help Wanted and then flip Crisis while Help Wanted's effect was on the chain. But it's quite a lot of work just to try and grab a character.

Assuming he did it that way he could then use Help Wanted since all he has to do is choose a team affiliation from the cards he draws and the affiliation he ends up choosing has to be Crisis at that point. He would end up crossing over Crisis and Secret Six.
....except that Crisis says they cannot gain any other affiliation.
so, Help Wanted wouldn't have any effect until Crisis stopped being face-up in his row....
...but, if you could turn CoIE down, THEN Secret Six and Crisis would be crossed over.
i have no idea what that would be good for.... but it sounds very sinister....
Secret Six and Crisis would be crossed over---the crossover wouldn't have its usual impact, thanks to Crisis, but it would still be there. Character cards in your resource row would still benefit from the crossover, for instance; Crisis' affiliation madness only applies to characters you control, and to character cards in your hand, deck, or KO'd pile.
There are also a very few complex, nefarious reasons that you might want to crossover Secret Six and Crisis in your removed from game zone. Crisis hampers the crossover, but can't totally snuff it out.
