hey thanks for the info and this was a real post
this was my first post so try not to give me suck a hard time
hahaha
so there is no way to have pw do more that 1 damage to more than one target
Remember, Pulse Wave ignores all powers and abilities within the half-range of the attacker. Enhancement and SHIELD require the figures to be adjacent to the attacker. Adjacent is definitely within the half-range of the attacker, so they are ignored as well...
In my day, we didn't have Heroclix. If you were being attacked by Superman with a 3d dumpster, you just had to hope you could outrun him.
i see, cause it used to be that you could use those with PW....must be something i missed from Indy.....interesting though (i never use PW, so I wouldn't be up on changes)
Contrary to popular belief, I do know what I'm doing
I asked if this was a serious post/question because of the tongued face at the beginning of your initial post.
Halfway through my response, I thought you were just kidding around. Sorry, this board is notorious for people asking for help, but really don't need it. My apologies for making such an assumption with you.
If you roll doubles and hit and cause knockback....are damage reducing powers still cancelled cause of the pulsewave at the time you hit a wall and take damage from it ? Or would someone with thoughness regain thoughness before hitting the wall ?
I believe their defensive powers can be applied to effects caused after the pulsewave (such as knockback). The knockback does not enjoy the benefits of a pulsewave.
Remember that Pulsewave ignores powers, it does not turn them off. They are still on, but during the PW, they were ignored.
Right, but if they don't, then whatever powers they still have will still be able to address the new knockback damage. PW does not "negate" a character's power forever and ever and ever!!!
It merely ignores all powers and abilities during the duration of it's attack. That ends the moment the character fires off the PW and hits everything within half it's normal range.
one more pulse wave question. If you roll knockback on pulse wave against a formation in two rows, howwould you apply knockback on a critical hit of 2 spaces?.
Ex. if "a" is the attacker, "x" are the enemies, and "o" is the space behind the attackers.
..a
xxxx
xxxx
oooo
oooo
would it look like this, with knockback being applied to the first row (who is braced by the second row) and then the second row
..a
xxxx
oooo
oooo
xxxx
or would it look like this, with the whole group being moved back two spaces
Good question... The answer depends upon the range of the attacker and how many figures he actually hit. If ONLY the front row was hit, then they would not move since there are figures in the way (the second row). If both rows were hit, then the back row moves away first, then the first row moves back the correct number of spaces based on the damage they took. If the back row hits a wall, they take an extra click of damage and stop in the squares next to the wall. The first row would be prevented from hitting the wall because of those figures.
