We had this question come up at our Hobby League last night. The text on Computo / Rogue Program says:
Whenever Computo causes breakthrough to a player, that player discards a card and you draw a card.
Now the question was about the wording of the card. Since it says when Computo causes breakthrough to a player, does that mean you have to hit your opponent directly to get his ability to work or does normal breakthrough to a character trigger his ability as well?
Breakthrough while attacking a character is done to the player. Therefore breakthrough while attacking a character is fine. Otherwise, his effect would be pretty pointless. ;)
And the reason it's worded this way may also help you understand it better. Because Computo refers to "that player," earlier in the text he has to have mentioned a player; otherwise, he couldn't refer back that way. Computo just brings up the player so that the game can know who is supposed to discard.
