Can you play in response to a plot twist so that it cant be played?

"Playing" a plot twist just means paying any costs, choosing targets, and putting it on the chain. Once the plot twist is on the chain, you can't stop him from playing it or change the cost of it, because it's already been paid.

You can play it before they have a chance to play the plot twist, like before they set their resource, or in response to them playing Doom.

That card is just garbage.

Spider-Friends & JSA, using Black Cat, Rock of Eternity and Daily Bugle to reuse Swing into Action = opponent can't play plot twists this game. Well, aside from responding to Swing.
