ok...with the release of the equipment from the MEX pack...i thought about doing a deck like this....the idea is go equip silver surfer's board onto 2 drop silver surfer and use him to search for anything and everything....so here is my idea for the deck...

please help me find a list that will work...feel free to post your ideas for the deck...currently this deck is about 14 cards too big....i'm not sure what to cut and i don't have any experience playtesting the deck...i'm still gathering the cards for it....please help....reps will be given for good advise...

You should put a Talia in at 5, she lets you keep putting out Boris/Alfred/Surfer to keep searching.

hmmm...what set is talia from...is she from DCR? i might have to look into her....i also thought about going off curve with this deck to get multiple uses out of boris/alfred....

Talia's Crisis, if I remember correctly.

Multiple uses of Alfred/Boris would only really help you if you were running a lot of 1-of tech plot twists. You really aren't, so they're probably not worth it. Alfred gets the board which gets you pretty much anything else.

Edit: The only exception would be if you missed Surfer on 2. Then you could get some more use out of Alfred on 2 and 3, then use Enemy to get Surfer and fill out your turn 3 recruit.

yeah...ideally i mulligan for surfer or a way to get surfer...so him or kindred spirits.....then if i also miss alfred i can doom on 3 to get creation of a herald to get the board.....

Boris won't trigger untill turn 3 same thing with alfred.

Silver surfer searches for stuff with a cost of 4 or greater. So what are you using to toolbox with surfer? The characters tutor is heavy and no plot twist cost four or greater really. I will suggest an omnipotence since it cost 5 and is really good. I would suggest a Legend based deck around a certain character since a lot of the legend plot twist cost 4. I will suggest Human torch since he is on team and you could open your self to their plot twist like asborsa shield, I hungry I must Obey, Inspiring Demise, pacification and relentess onslaught. Also cards with a cost of four are more than you could use are steeley resolve and armaggedon. I also like the three drop chick since she has cosmic visible and draws over babs with less stats.

yeah....my first thought of the deck was inspiring demise, i must obey, asborsa shield, and elemental converters with syphon energy and pathtic attempt....i also thought about more heralds characters with the deck to stall to galactus.....the only problem i found with that idea was that i had no way of searching for silver surfer's board outside of canibal tech....also...2 drop surfer puts the card on top of the deck and without barbara gordon/elemental converters/the hook up...i have no way of drawing that card until the next turn....that is why i was using barbara gordon and the hook up.....and with the GK team up i thought i'd add in the bat got your tounge's because i don't want them to KO surfer or the board....

i'm just not sure where to go with the deck...i have the idea...if someone can make it work i'll be greatful....

Pathetic Attempt will protect your surfer and board. It comes online a turn after BGYT would in this build (since you wouldn't be able to flip The Hookup until 3) but it doesn't require an exhaust or a GK Character.

There are lots of ways to get extra card draw. One way would be to run Hal Jordan and Recharge, you could just chain the search to it triggering. He would also help you fetch an answer in mid to late game if you needed it.

frankie raye cost 3 team HOG stats 4/5 flight yes range yes at the start of the comic phase draw a card. cosmic. Cannibal Tech and Creation of a Herald if you discard galactus. Also would play ego gem.

You need to play stuff that will hep you get the board consistantly

This deck as alot of potential i think you are not staying with what you are trying to do try to get more focused on what you are trying to do

you're right jvirtue....the only problem that i'm currently having with this is what i am trying to do with the deck....i know i want to use surfer to search out things that will help me in any given matchup...and that i want to stall to play silver surfer (MEX) on 7 and galactus on 8....as far as getting to turn 8 for galactus, there are many ways to get there....i just want to find the best way....

Its a skelleton at the moment and a lack of boards, and a fun modern have kept me from exploring it deeper, but I think it will work.

kariggi that looks like a pretty good start....it looks like you're wanting to bounce guys off the board with worldship and morg and search your characters our with surfer....i had thought about a build like this but with the heralds stall guys

Its realy a rough start, and I worry Ahmed may be gunned for too hard in Silver for this to be playable off the kitchen table.

Currently considering all critisizms - so hit me with that D-Block kinda love guys.

I guess my thing is I don't get why you're running the board with the 2. Just to topdeck your drop next turn? You're already running 8x tutors.

I'd rather run the board on the 5 drop Surfer to go with the 4 Drop Morg. Or maybe even better the 2 drop surfer with the 4 drop Triton. Which would also work with the 2 drop Surfer (snagging Attilian).

As is I don't see it as anything other than a way to get a cosmic counter on Morg. And you could just use Bestow the Power Cosmic for that.
