i will probly get in trouble for posting this but i have to do something

my hobby league is dieing we used to be a core of about 10 guy and within the last year we have gone down to five yes five core players we are doing everything we can to get the player base but nothing is working. we have try converting magic, wow, and yu-gi-oh players with no luck. so if you are looking for a place to play we are it we get prize kits in every month. and have tournys every month usally 3rd weekend of the month we are located at which usally turn out pretty good

My first suggestion would be if you want people to come in for games to rebuild a core group, switch to Saturdays or Sundays. There is a store around me that was more than happy to support us if we did it on weds...well two of the core group here travel a lot for work and can't show up even 50 percent of the time on weds.

To help get new players in we usually stay away from constructed. We usually draft.

Lately we tried a league. Start with 5 packs from any set. Build your deck. Each week by a new pack and your deck gets 5 cards bigger. Keep going until the final week you hit 60 cards. It was an interesting idea. We need to tweak the number of games played each week and the number of weeks, but it's something to try.

I can't wait till we take on Galactus with our sealed pool. :p
