MWS is a bit more fun than OCTGN, but I really have one problem with it, and that is that I can't figure out how to update my Base Library, so all the sets are together, instead of having to load one Library at a time. I asked about it on Kamiza's site, but never got a response.
I have downloaded both MWSzip files and deleted them.
Now what?
I don't understand the instructions because that's not happening on my computer.
Instructions
Step #1: Open MagicWorkstation (The one with the icon)
Step #2: Wait five seconds, then press "Ok" on the pop-ups
Step #3: Make a deck by searching out cards
Step #4: When you have a deck ready, press "Ctrl + T" to enter your name then choose game type "Connect via the internet or LAN" and press "Start Game"
Step #5: Once the window pops up, connect to darkseid.servegame.com or mwsgames.net.
Step #6: Either create your own game and wait for a Vs Player or join another Vs System game.
I got through the first and second steps but, how do I search out cards? The only cards I have are the Magic ones. 102 cards starting with Amethyst.
This fix will work for both of you guys, Cosmic and Flashback.
Open up MWS.
Delete any/all Magic cards (this is just for Cosmic).
Select "view" on the toolbar and hit "library mode (classic)". This'll change MWS's layout. The top is your main library, the bottom is currently a deck.
Looking at the bottom "deck" area, hit the little folder icon with the green arrow. This lets you open up other decks/sets.
Go into Custom Sets and open up whatever set you want added to your main library. It will now be in the lower window of MWS.
Right-click in the lower window and hit "Select all cards".
Finally, hit the Green Box With White Arrow icon on the bottom window's icon bar. This will transfer all of the cards from the set into the primary library.
Repeat as needed for all sets you want upgraded/added. When you're done, hit View and change the format back to "Deck Edit".
Cosmic. Chances are you didn't install the files in the proper order/all of the files/ or did not extract the 2 zip files to the appropriate location. I recommend uninstalling the program and starting over.
I noticed "Guy Gardner" from the DCX set has his name spelled as "Huy Gardned". I went to change it, but when I did, the image became unattached. (It comes back if I put his name back in as the misspelled way).
Is there any way to edit card names and keep images? Or is there any way to get this fixed?
