Hello, all. I've been utilizing the heck out of the Poison Ivy/Riddler combo in my modern Society deck but I'm unsure of something that's really important. The way I've been playing is that uniqueness would check at the beginning of the recruit phase thereby KOing my 2nd Riddler. Am I unnecessarily KOing a Riddler? I know I was able to bring in him legally because he wasn't technically recruited by uniqueness still checks every round, no? Thanks for any help.

Nope, uniqueness only checks as a part of resolving the recruitment effect from the chain. Since Poison Ivy doesn't recruit Riddler, it never checks. So those 2 Riddlers stay out together indefinitely.
I was thinking of the same thing awhile back, and after I found out the answer I realized just how devastating Ivy truly is--being able to bring out up to 4 Riddlers, meaning 4 more cards in either your KO pile or the opponent's, and up to four costs of plot twists being prevented. I love Riddler! One of my favorite 1-drops ever made.
i hear wonder woman likes to tie riddler with her lasso and toss him into galactus mouth as part of omnipotence sandwich
wonder woman and omnipotence eats 4 riddler lunch ......... muahahaha
Riddler's ability always affects the opponent regardless of who gets milled. Omnipotence is slow to stop Riddler - doesn't get in till turn six; your mileage may vary.

yes true but i rather mill my opponents deck instead of my own. less likely they hit the right threshold cost to hurt my usage of plot twist. well it helps alot more then people may think...

Actually, sometimes Riddler can easily help you too, especially if you are hoping to abuse the KO pile. If anything, you can make the WW player discard cards with just a simple activation--at least it is better than her discarding to negate a plot twist. It really does not matter where the effect goes, because the real effect you want to get off, locking down opponent's plot twists, will go off no matter what.
has any one ever solved the riddle in the flavor text?? " RIDDLE ME THIS: A ROBIN IN THE HAND IS WORTH HOW MANY IN A GRAVE YARD?"
...It's not a riddle. It's a play on words as well as him threatening Robin's life. Said to Batman, he's letting him know he has captured Robin, and that he could easily kill him.
