While it's very hard to compare the VsRealms coverage with the VsSystem coverage (one being very on-the-fly and the other being very polished), I have to say I have much preferred Shane's coverage to that of the "pros". It's because of Shane that we know who's in the finals right now (VsSystem as of the posting of this thread has yet to update the Quarterfinal winners of the Top 8) and throughout this weekend the Twitter feeds and pictures have provided brief but timely information.
This isn't a rip on the guys who are working hard covering the event at VsSystem, but personally, I always came here first to find out what was going on before clicking over to VsSystem. I liked reading the articles and such, but it's not where I kept up-to-date on the tournaments.
So Shane, if you're going to be at Indy, I'll be there with my Blackberry Curve. If you want a partner in crime, hit me up.
Share masterminded this new form of coverage ... so I hope that we'll be able to build upon it and try to unify all the technology for the "next time". The Twitter integration is also part of a larger test ... as we're looking to (optionally) feed people's twitter into their Realms profile and things of that nature. So many cool things coming about!
The combination of Shane's Twitter Feed and the VsSystem.com coverage was just brilliant. Shane did an amazing job despite not knowing many of the new cards. His thumbs have to be throbbing by now!
We got the best of both worlds with coverage, lightning quick results from Shane, and in depth match coverage afterwards from VsSystem.com. So thank you Shane, Miguel (who apparently was a different employee of UDE everyday), and Billy for an outstanding job.
