So assuming that the majority of people on here list VS as their favorite ccg, what are people's second and third etc. favorites My are VS followed by Netrunner and Vampire/Doomtown are tied for a close third. Sadly Netrunner and Doomtown are dead and it seems you have to be in a special cliche to play vampire around here.

No other CCG exists in my opinion

Magic the Gathering and The Spoils are my other favorite games.

Both good games, is the Spoils still alive though? I haven't seen it in a while.

No, the Spoils is dead. Word is that the 2-3 guys who were running the game were at one point about to take out 25,000 loans each to save the game, but decided to cut the losses instead. It was a fun game.

Nope The Spoils went belly up about a month back.

I still enjoy Raw Deal and Magic. I don't like WOW very much, making the same type of effect cheaper to play and instant doesn't make me want to buy a new set.

Shouldn't be a big discourager from picking some up though (probably for cheap) if you're up to making several decks.

If you're up to taking the time to making decks for all the factions - which, honestly, is fun in any ccg - 'dead' CCGs just tend to become 'social' games, like Munchkin or Fluxx.

I used to draft magic, but yeah that ship is gone for the better. DBZ/GT is still in my heart, and my trunks swordsman freestyle tokuiwaza deck is still built and is sitting on my desk and the game's been dead for almost 4 years. heh.

Magic. And L5R is quite good too.

I still have my super saiyan 4 Vegeta deck from GT and my awesome Blue Style Buu deck!

My other fav ccgs that i used to play (VS is all i play now) are Yu-Gi-Oh (Got too expensive), Magic (Got too big, too many damed cards), Yu-Yu-Hakusho, and second best next to VS is DBZ/GT!

I've been thinking about getting back into Magic...it has been some ten years or so though.

The first card game I played was the GIJoe game by wizards. I actually really liked the gameplay. It was simple but had enough room for strategy in the deckbuilding and game play. Plus it was lots of fun having my Snowjob smack around Storm Shadow. :)

The only other game I've played more than once or twice is the Call of Cthulhu game by Fantasy Flight. That game is still alive, but not in the collectible sense. The artwork was amazing and the style of gameplay is quite unique. I wish I could find people interested in playing that one (or GIJoe for that matter) around here.

Ugh. Spoils. That game left a bitter BITTER taste in my mouth.

"Okay, I'll send this guy in who can't be blocked" ---me

"Okay, I'll make a blocking party of zero and add someone to the blocking party to block him" ---some guy I was playing against in a tournament

"Wait, but he's unblockable" ---me

"Judge!" ---guy

"Yeah, that's legal play in this awful game" ---Judge

*Takes deck and literally hurls it across the con* ---me
