I've been trying different ways to play Weapon-x so far the best i've come up with is under dropping. So i'm going off curve with them and this is what i've come up with.
3 drops
4x Iron Man
4x Dead Pool
1x Maverick
4x Vision
Plot twist
4x Savage beatdown
4x Mobilize
3x King Hyperion
3x Cutting loose
3x merc with mouth
4x Extended Monologue
4x We can Rebuild him
location
4x Weapon plus satelite
it's kind of controlish with the mesmero maverick spiderman and extended's. I like the way it runs however it doesn't win on 3 4 or 5. LoL it doesn't seem aggro enough normally when it goes to longer turns I either maverick and dead shot FTW or team attack FTW. Any tips suggestion or different advice you have LMK. I think hulk is one of the most underrated 6 drops in the set whoops posted this in the wrong forum.
If you're running off-curve, Cap should be a 4 of. Mesmero is pretty sweet, but the global +2 in an off-curve deck can be the difference between winning and losing.
No, Mesmero is FAR better for off-curve too; all the annoying recovery effects etc.
With that said, the lack of an army character or enough unique names make it hard to stay truly "off curve". I think they'd be better at least as a short curve; say, drops up to 5. As it stands you're just going to get flooded with guys with name uniqueness issues and lose games. Weapon X has THE best new 4 (Mavrick); having a "KO on a stick" guy really will help get games running better.
I'm not a hulk fan.... even if he saves you some damage, I hate having guys go down without a fight to the average 5-drop. I'd rather have text like Polaris, or a higher natural defense to soak some damage (an 11/14 with text). As it is I can't see hulk as a good drop.
