Had a fun thought after reading 2 separate things today. The first was in a Twitch chat where someone said they had seen a successful Eternal Youth deck rack up over 1 million health. The second was the front page Insta-Win article.

This got me thinking, what if 2 players built decks based on Eternal Youth vs. Sliver? The goal would be for the EY deck to reach 5000+ health before the Sliver deck Insta-Wins.

What would be some other match ups that could lend to interesting non-traditional games?

I got over 300k life before I got bored. LOL! It's pretty simple to do with a blood/diamond deck with necessary sacrifice and deminted demolisher and some draw artifact engine.

Lol, the idea of theme duels sounds pretty fun. For that one though, would it just be an agreement between the players that if the life-increasing player gets over 5k health that they're the winner?

If this was based on a series like Yugioh, people could duel as the characters with their cards...

Someone on a twitch feed last night said a better matchup would be the escalation burn deck vs the EYouth deck. Watched a game where a guy's deck was 4 EYouth, 4 Demented, 2 Pact of Pain and 25 each Diamond and Blood shards. He very quickly got his deck going and would crush the sliver deck. 1 Madness would screw him though.

It was during a test session (not a "real" game) ... but it was still fun.

I am sure it was. Although it would have been more fun to make your opponent realize they have no chance of winning.

It's probably not something that will really be possible in PvP, just against certain AI.

It only works in PvP if both players come to an agreement beforehand.

What does? I was talking about being able to increase your life to such insane amounts.

The idea behind this thread was to come up with friendly scenario games, where both parties agreed to the terms beforehand.

Yeah; that's what happened in my game as well; we were testing some bugs out and I decided to gain life while we tested. :)
