BATMAN'S KNOWLEDGE DOWNLOADED INTO A ROBOT BODY: At the beginning of the game, choose a character named Batman on your sideline and turn that character to a starting click of 75 points or less. FREE: Choose a standard power displayed on that click, H.A.R.D.A.C. Batman can use the chosen power until your next turn.
Assume that the player has the Super Friends Batman on the sideline with his Troubalert trait active.
TROUBALERT: COME IN, BATMAN!: SIDELINE ACTIVE Friendly characters have FREE: If this character critical missed this turn or made the third attack this turn to miss all opposing targets, place a character from your Sideline that can use a TroubAlert trait adjacent on its blue starting line. // At the beginning of your turn, if Robin started the game due to the TroubAlert trait, roll a d6. [4-6]: Deal Batman 1 unavoidable damage.
1: Can that Batman be selected by H.A.R.D.A.C. Batman with his TroubAlert Trait active?
2: Assuming so, can his 60 points, red starting line be selected until Batman is brought into play on his 30 points, blue starting line?
A game element in your Sideline can only be placed there for a specific effect. It can only leave your Sideline, re-enter it, or be referenced in your Sideline for that specific effect. This applies to characters on your force that later become part of your Sideline as well (usually when replaced).

Cool character A, B, and C share a name. Cool character A starts on the map and has a trait “FREE: Replace this character with another character with this same trait”. Cool character B starts on your Sideline and has the same trait, so it can be placed on the map as a replacement character. Cool character C has a different trait “When this character is KO’d, place a Cool Character from your Sideline into this square.” This trait can’t bring in Cool character A or Cool character B even if they otherwise qualify. C’s effect needs a separate character on the Sideline identified for that trait.
No sharing characters on the Sideline for different effects. You would need a second copy to gain both effects.
