Based on a few things said about my Round One Entry for November's Dial Design Contest, I'm actually going to go ahead and make my idea of a Box Set for Heroclix based on Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater. I haven't fully decided how many figures in it yet though, and I'm starting with a copy/paste (mostly) of the November Entry for now so I have something to show for the idea so far.

Role Tag: Captain
Targeting: Ignores Hindering Terrain.
Covert Ops: Stealth, Sidestep.
Mother of the Special Forces: UNIQUE MODIFIER: Friendly Sidekicks and Allies with the Soldier Keyword modify their Attack and Defense values +1.
Patriot: Flurry. // RANGE: Make up to two range attacks.
Lead The Mission (Charge) Military CQC (Flurry)
Voyevodna (Toughness) Counter (Combat Reflexes) "Loyal To The End, To My Purpose" (Willpower)
The Boss (Leadership) CQC Disarm (Outwit) CQC Slam (Close Combat Expert)
DESIGN NOTES: I cleaned up the wording of her Attack Special to be clear she can't use Charge with Range attacks version of Flurry, just to avoid a rules shark issue. This would (likely) be the cheaper option for The Joy in the set, for a better team-building option with the rest of the Cobra Unit or other characters.

Role Tag: Ally
Movement: Elevated, Blocking Terrain. Characters.
Incorporeal: The Sorrow does not block lines of fire to other characters and characters do not need to break away from him. // FREE: Heal The Sorrow 1 click -or- deal him 1 damage.
Spirit World: Modify The Sorrow's Damage Value by +1 for each KO'd friendly character. [MAX: 3] // Friendly Captains and Allies with the Soldier keyword have SAFEGUARD: Mystics Team Ability.
Cryptic Messages: Perplex, Probability Control, Empower, Enhancement.
Sad...So Sad (Incapacitate) Feel The Sorrow... (Penetrating/Psychic Blast)
Intangible (Super Senses)
...Of Those You Have Killed! (Exploit Weakness)
DESIGN NOTES: The Sorrow is a bit of an odd duck in the game, as he's already dead/is a ghost. You don't directly fight him either, but in HeroClix terms I'd feel better giving him some kind of bite to his attacks and a way to swap between his cryptic aid and his "attacks" in the spirit world. I left his damage low but reflect his tormenting the player with the soldiers they killed in the game when you do encounter him.
EDIT: Made him a bit of a silver bullet to the prevalence of the Mystics Team Ability, partly as his role as a spirit medium assist among the Cobra Unit meant he gave them some mystical insight, or in this case, give them a little protection from the Spirit World.

Role Tag: Ally
Targeting: Ignores Hindering Terrain.
Prototype Stealth Camo: Stealth if The Fear does not have 2 action tokens. Shape Change but succeeds on a 4-6, and subtracts 1 from the result for each action token on him.
Trap and Ambush Expert: Friendly Captains and Allies with the Soldier keyword have Shape Change if they do not already, but only while occupying Hindering Terrain, and only succeed on a 6.
Poisoned Arrows: Incapacitate, hit targets are dealt 1 damage for each action token on them after actions resolve.
Leap About (Leap/Climb) Unnatural Speed (Hypersonic Speed) You're In My Trap (Plasticity)
DESIGN NOTES: The Fear is an ambush specialist who has lined his battleground with various traps to ensnare or injure the player, while also using lethal poisoned crossbow bolts to pick them off. As the Ambush expert, it makes some sense in hindsight with the edit to grant other characters Shape Change if they meet the requirements.
I’ll save the feedback for once you’ve posted em all but I do have a question since I skipped over the sets with Role mechanics. From what little I know I thought an Ally had a Sideline Active trait granting bonuses to the other types under certain conditions. (Can’t search by role yet in the Units section so maybe I missed a few).
I used it bc it sounded right on my submission this week but removed it when I couldn’t find a purpose. Is there a figure that specifically ‘looks’ for them on your force or sideline? If there isn’t, what’s the reason to include? Maybe you just haven’t added them yet and it’s a moot point but I don’t really know what they’re for if not on a sideline.

I'm not entirely sure on some of the Role mechanics either, but in this instance, there will be a few characters whose traits or powers reference Allies, Sidekicks, and/or Captains. In The Joy's case, she benefits Sidekicks and Allies, but not Captains, with the Soldier Keyword. And so far, the Ally keyword is meant to differentiate from Sidekicks, or the Secret Identity roles that won't appear in this set.
EDIT: Actually, on second thinking over what you said, maybe I can give the Ally roles so far a little more meaning, check back soon on their edits.
Random Update, since Round 3 begins tomorrow, going to hold off more dials here to see if any of them would fit the criteria first for the Design Contest.
Until the third round is over, I'm not going to post The End's dial here, so skipping along.

Targeting: Hindering.
Flamethrower Specialist: PASSENGERS: 0. The Fury, and adjacent friendly Captains and Allies with the Soldier keyword, have SAFEGUARD: Energy Explosion.
Burn It All!: When The Fury hits with a range attack, place a clear terrain marker in any printed hindering terrain he drew line of fire through. When The Fury hits an opposing character occupying Hindering terrain with a range attack, they are dealt +1 damage and cannot use Stealth until they clear action tokens.
I'm Coming Home!: STOP. Willpower. When this click is revealed this way, remove all action tokens from The Fury and he has IMMUNE until your next turn. // When The Fury uses Pulse Wave, you may choose not to halve range and he deals his printed damage to all hit targets, but KO him after actions resolve if you choose this option.
Jetpack Run (Hypersonic Speed) Jet Jump (Sidestep)
Dang, it’s been a long time since I’ve played MGS3. Maybe not since early college? I remember thinking it had stronger gameplay than Twin Snakes and Sons of Liberty, but that the dialogue and scenario of Twin Snakes had felt stronger to me -mostly in that the villains weren’t primarily just screaming their names all the time. Now I think MGS3 is the game I’d most like to revisit in the series.
Joy feels spot-on, especially the Patriot SP. Haha I remember being mowed down by that damn thing so many times.
Spirit World is fantastic on The Sorrow, and helps make him feel like his boss stage. I also like how he can heal/hurt himself, giving his dial flexibility in the post-push age.
Of the boss characters, I remember the Fear the least. Feel like he ONLY jumped around screaming his name and felt like a less interesting version of The End, but maybe I’m misremembering him? Either way, I love the Stealth & Shape Change abilities that are based on his action tokens. He feels like the good kind of rhythm character.
Of these dials, The Pain here is my favorite, possibly because he’s tied for my second favorite Cobra Unit character alongside the Fury. His dial and flavor text feel spot on, and I love “Decoy of Hornets.”
The Fury has my favorite design in the game. He feels pretty damn close to how I remember him, but I might suggest giving him improved targeting, given the way his boss fight goes -unless he didn’t have night vision.
I added Improved Targeting to The Fury, originally I thought it was less night vision, and more his flames lighting up the area, but then I remembered he pretty much torched the whole area to light it up and eliminate places to hide.
I also think the new trait is situational enough not to raise his cost given he is also a Unique for other reasons.

Oooh... Yeah, "Burn It All" is cool as s***. Nice.
EDIT: I can't seem to find a reference image link that works and is not needing editing or saved to an album here to work, so I guess we got a sculpt re-use in the set! Major Ocelot (Above) but with a full black mask and a semi-auto pistol instead of a revolver.

Parrot Spotter: At the beginning of the game, generate a Parrot bystander [MAX: 1]. If that bystander is KO'd by an opposing character, modify The End's Combat Values by +1 and he automatically rolls a 6 when using Willpower for the rest of the game.
Mosin Nagant with Tranquilizer Rounds: Incapacitate. When The End uses it and hits, the target character is dealt damage equal to the number of action tokens on them after actions resolve.
Spirits of the Forest...: Friendly Captains and Allies with the Soldier keyword modify the die result for Willpower and Regeneration by +1 if they occupy Clear Outdoor Terrain.

Tamed Parrot: PASSENGERS: 0. Parrot may not make attacks and is KO'd if the character that generated it is KO'd. Parrot does not block lines of fire to other characters and characters do not need to break away from Parrot. Protected: Pulse Wave, Outwit.
Rawk! Granpa, Granpa! Rawk!: Perplex, only on adjacent characters. Adjacent characters cannot use Stealth or have lines of fire blocked to them by Hindering Terrain.
DESIGN NOTES: As a boss battle, he is rare in that he doesn't try to kill the player's character, but instead uses non-lethal means to knock the player out and force them to have to escape capture to try again. But in HeroClix, a figure with no printed damage would be a hard sell if their primary tactic (Incapacitate) is just not going to work (Like with Battle Fury or other SAFEGUARD tactics).
The parrot is a unique thing he does in that he has his parrot act as a lure and a brightly colored mark for him to look for his targets near. The damage SP is written as intended to be able to backfire, as it is possible to send the parrot back to him to give him away, and gives a drawback to using it to bump up The End's values instead of debuff opponents.
